Scott Edwards

Attorney

Scott Edwards is a third-generation trial attorney who has been around the profession most of his life. Scott started his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard T. Haik, Chief federal judge of the Western District of Louisiana (Retired), before working in the pre-suit department of a personal injury law firm. Scott subsequently worked under and alongside several highly skilled trial attorneys, where he learned what it takes to become a great personal injury attorney. Since then, Scott has used these acquired skillsets to reach favorable settlements and judgments for his clients.

In addition, Scott attributes his success as a personal injury attorney to two significant life events. While growing up, Scott watched his dad continuously fight for the legal rights of everyday people bullied and pushed around by insurance companies and big corporations, which is one of the reasons Scott excels at his job. This experience instilled in Scott a passion and purpose to always fight for people whose lives have been interrupted by traumatic events. Scott understands what his clients are going through and approaches each case with compassion, dedication, and hard work.

Scott understands what his clients are going through based on injuries he sustained when an at-fault drive ran a red light.  Scott suffered, and continues to suffer, from a long-term injury to his cervical spine that required him to receive years of medical treatment.  Scott didn’t realize it at the time, but this life event ended up being a blessing in disguise.

Scott Edwards

“Continuing to work as a personal injury attorney after my accident helped me empathize with my clients in a way that I would never have understood. The emotional factor was more overwhelming than I ever could have imagined.

The fact that you have an injury causing extreme pain that no one can see makes you feel isolated. You try to explain and relate your experience to others, but most people don’t get it until it happens to them.

The worst part is the insurance doctors and lawyers who will do anything to avoid responsibility by trying to paint you as a liar and attack your character with no remorse. This is what I experienced, and I’m a personal injury attorney! I can imagine how someone without a legal background feels after being forced into this environment.”
